Die verwendete Technik ist selbstverständlich ein ganz wichtiges Thema in einem Tonstudio. Für meine Sprachaufnahmen nutze ich mittlerweile das Klasse-A Kondensatormikrofon „The Amethyst Vintage“ der lettischen Mikrofonentwickler „Violet Microphones„. Ein befreundeter Toningenieur war der Meinung, dass es gut zu meiner Stimme passen würde. Er sollte Recht behalten, denn ich bin begeistert von diesem Mikrofon. Die Firma „Violet“ ist nicht ganz so bekannt wie die üblichen verdächtigen „Brauner“ und „Neumann“, aber der nahezu rauschfreie, warme Klang steht diesen beiden Konkurrenten in nichts nach. Ganz im Gegenteil, denn ich habe mittlerweile einige Toningenieure kennengelernt, die ebenfalls keine Fans der „Mainstream-Mikros“ mehr sind, sondern viele Konkurrenzprodukte einsetzen, um den jeweils gewünschten Charakter hervorzuheben.
Als Preamp nutze ich einen „Golden Age Project PRE-73 Premier„, der als einer der besten Nachbauten des legendären „AMS Neve 1073“ von 1970 gilt. Der Neve ist für seinen vollen und punchigen Klang berühmt und Golden Age war in der Lage, diesen Sound perfekt umzusetzen.
Die Kombination aus diesem Preamp und dem Amethyst Vintage ist das Technik-Setup meiner Wahl, worauf ich – zumindest in meinem Studio – weder für Sprach- noch für Gesangsaufnahmen verzichten möchte.
Sollte dennoch aus irgendwelchen Gründen der Wunsch bestehen, mit einem anderen Setup aufzunehmen, sprechen Sie mich einfach dazu an. Eine Remoteverbindung per Sessionlink oder anderen Tools ist ebenfalls kein Problem.
